Casterton again

On a very hot day. This building had been a bank in the days when Casterton had big wool money. There are other nearby 2-storey ex-bank buildings sitting vacant.  The Co-Op has a Bendigo Bank agency and that is the only bank there now.  There is however a supermarket, which is why I was there, and a scenic 31 kilometre drive home.

in the slow lane now

Life in the country. Steers and sheep. Fresh air. No traffic lights.
Worn Out was about clothes before, but now it is me that is worn out from rockin the ride-on mower over huge swathes of grass.
Man in the hotel wanted to be rid of two Lovebirds - "they make too much noise" he said.
I don't think so.  In November they laid eggs which hatched in December so now we are four.
A Peachface lovebird - Peachy - and a Lilian's Lovebird - Lil.
Their offspring are Laurel & Hardy.
They fly around trashing the place and all I can do is laugh.
They destroyed a lightshade, chewed my books, knocked a lamp over, and Laurel & Hardy got into the exhaust canopy over the hotplates and I had to unscrew it and take it down to get them out. The parent birds went crazy during the process.
"Anyone want two birds" he said.
How hard could it be, I thought.
