So difficult when it is one's own parent. I had one like that. While he was dying I found it almost impossible to hold that hand that caused so much destruction. But strangely I did, for his sake. It took such an effort.I could only say goodbye once.
Now I am thinking of earlier fashion statements in our own lives, I am enjoying your 1950 photo :)
